Adele Was Global Best-seller Of 2012
Adele’s Grammy-winning record 21 has been named the best-selling album in the global charts for the second consecutive year.
The British superstar sold 8.3 million copies of 21 across the world in 2012, outselling the nearest rival, Taylor Swift’s Red, by approximately three million units.
One Direction had the third and fourth best-selling albums with their first two releases, Up All Night and Take Me Home, which sold a combined total of 8.9 million copies, while Lana Del Rey’s debut Born To Die racked up 4.4 million sales.
Canadian pop newcomer Carly Rae Jepsen had the year’s best-selling single with Call Me Maybe, which sold 12.5 million copies globally, according to the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI).
IFPI bosses revealed the struggling music industry is showing signs of recovery as overall revenues went up 0.3 per cent – marking the first year of growth since 1999.
Original Kim Kardashian's Sex Tape Destroyed?!
The original copy of Kim Kardashian's claim to fame, Kim K Superstar, was almost lost FOREVER in a blaze on Saturday night!
While her uber-successful reality show makes it easy to forget her roots, we have been reminded just how VALUABLE the 2007 sex tape licking Ray J's lollipop is!
So valuable in fact, that Vivid Entertainment's big man executive, Steve Hirsch, left a far away Clippers game to go save his moneymaker after a 911 call reported that flames had erupted in his offices.
The infamous pornographic film was locked up in a vault with ALL of Vivid's most prestigious celebrity videos, including ones featuring Kendra Wilkinson, Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson, Jimi Hendrix, Tom Sizemore, and Chyna.
...AND several celebrity porns that haven't even been released!
But fear not, pre-pubescent boys! The tapes are SAFE AND SOUND, with only the armorous vault being scorched.

Davido bought off his new single for N500k?

Password – Gobe
The internet is currently buzzing over Davido‘s new single ‘Gobe‘ which he officially released yesterday February, 25, 2013 but that’s not all that causing him to trend on social network Twitter.
Hours after the release, another version quite similar to the pop star’s surfaced online so NET began snooping around and asking questions – apparently the same song also titled ‘Gobe‘ was released a year ago by an upcoming singer-producer named Password.
Password (who gained little buzz after featuring on Darey’s ‘Style na style’ remix) had made online release for the same song in July 2011 but it seemed not to have garnered any buzz back then. Sources tell us Password who produced and wrote the first version of ‘Gobe’ allegedly sold the song to Davido for a sum of money possibly up to N500,000.
‘Dude sold the song to Davido. He produced and wrote it, all of a sudden they are saying Shizzi produced it‘, a studio rat and close friend to Password told NET in anonymity.
NET could not immediately confirm this story.
It isn’t a big deal or something new though; song writers sell music pieces all the time. Most times, producers, music composers and songwriters record original compositions and trade their songs to bigger artistes.
Examples are in the hundreds – US acts Ne-Yo, The Dream, Frank Ocean, Stacy Barthe, Keri Hilson are all credited to have written some of the biggest songs of the past decade. And on the home front we have former Cobhams Asuquo protege Omolara (who wrote Chidinma‘s ‘Kedike‘ and Praiz‘ ‘Rich and famous) OJB Jezreel (who wrote 2face’s 2004 hit ‘Right here’) to mention a few.
What however makes ‘Gobe’ peculiar is that it had been previously released as an official single.
Both parties have not been responsive to queries over the matter but after numerous comments were made on music blogs and social networks Twitter and Facebook about the stunning similarities between the songs, Davido and Password are now very vocal on Twitter about the matter.
‘They noticed people had found out, it’s like Password didn’t tell Davido that he had released the song before he sold it‘.
Davido was smart enough play along. This afternoon, he tweeted; Big ups 2 @iamshizzi and @iam_password for such a great combination of work for GOBE! More stuff 2 come HKN!
Password was also very co-operative as he also tweeted in support; The song Gobe was officially replaced by @iam_davido hu co-wrote on d new version and I @iam-password is very happy and satisfied.
HKN in-house producer also tweeted; Follow my gud friend @iam_password and thanx to him and d inspiration we all put into gobe! Cc”@iam_Davido.
Listen to both songs and tell us what you think…

MTN NIGERIA BLACKBERRY 10 DATA PLAN
MTN gave the warning to customers that devices running on the new BlackBerry 10 platform will not support the existing BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) data packages.
Previously there was some industry speculation that certain BlackBerry services, particularly BlackBerry Messenger (BBM), might remain unlimited even if all other data use is capped.
Older BlackBerry devices need a subscription to BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) for features such as BBM and e-mail to work. MTN has then released three (3) data plans for its blackberry 10 devices called BB10 lite , BB10 MiDi and the BB10 Maxi . All with options of weekly plan or monthly plan. (See plans details below).
The worry about the BB10 plans is the data cap, considering that same network provider gives unlimited data to older Blackberry devices for 1,500 Naira, while for the BB10 customers will have to pay 3,000 Naira to get 1GB of data.
Today (22nd February, 2013) marks the end of the pre-ordering of blackberry z10 from MTN in Nigeria and we expect to start getting the phones anytime from now. Pre-ordering the blackberry z10 is also available by other networks but the data plan for them is yet to be known.

JANET JACKSON IS MARRIED
There were a lot of rumors late last year about Janet Jackson's engagement to Wissam Al Mana and the plans for their wedding which included gifts of rolexes and chartered planes and resorts, etc. All that is made up. Janet and Wissam who are actually already married, just released a statement to ET which included the following;
"The rumors regarding an extravagant wedding are simply not true. Last year we were married in a quiet, private and beautiful ceremony. Our wedding gifts to one another were contributions to our respective favorite children's charities. We would appreciate that our privacy is respected and that we are allowed this time for celebration and joy. With love, Wissam and Janet""
According to US Weekly, Janet Jackson hasn't worn her ring publicly, because "she's afraid it will get lost, so she keeps it locked up!" She has equally shared her enthusiasm to have kids with her new husband saying that, "If she can't have them, she will adopt."
Janet Jackson has been married twice before, to James DeBarge and Rene Elizondo, and also tried to keep those relationships hidden from the public. She split from longtime boyfriend Jermaine Dupri in 2009 and started dating Wissam Al Mana in the summer of 2010.
Congratulations to the couple.
