Abubakar Shekau: Dead or Alive

Top boko haram Hench man has made the news headlines again. This time it sounds all too familiar. There were speculations he was shot dead some months ago and another impersonator took over his post and has also been killed.

First the Cameroonian army claimed this victory, then their Nigerian counterparts have claine same. As long as he is dead, I don't mind who "dunnit"

The story has changed today according to sahara reporters

A Nigerian military intelligence source has told SaharaReporters that the top Boko Haram figure killed in a recent operation was one Bashir Mohammed, leader of the Islamist sect’s Uye camp.
Cameroonian authorities yesterday released a photo of a dead man they identified as Abubakar Shekau, the loquacious and attention-seeking leader of the terrorist group that has launched deadly strikes in Nigeria’s northeast zone as well as Cameroon. The Nigerian intelligence source told SaharaReporters that Nigerian soldiers, not Cameroonian troops, had killed Mr. Bashir last Friday in a fierce battle against Boko Haram insurgents in Konduga, Borno State. The late Mr. Bashir, who bore a striking resemblance to Abubakar Shekau and had appeared in a recent video, was killed as he led insurgents who were attempting to capture Konduga and then made a bid to seize Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, as well.
Nigerian soldiers routed the Islamist militants in Konduga, killing hundreds of them and capturing weapons as well as vehicles abandoned by fleeing insurgents. The military as well as Nigerian government-appointed negotiators claim that the original Mr. Shekau had died since last year, reportedly assassinated by his lieutenants. The intelligence source said Mr. Bashir had adopted Mr. Shekau’s nom deguere and had been the person responsible for issuing video messages in recent times. Even though our source said the military was cautious not to claim credit for Mr. “Shekau’s” death, he added that the Nigerian military was buoyed by the capture of the armored tank usually displayed in the background of recent videos issued by the sect’s spokesman.

Also, Dubai-based Nigerian journalist Ahmed Salkida, who recently was flown to Nigeria to negotiate with Boko Haram, has denied claims that Abubakar Shekau is dead.

Women Protest Naked in the Street against Kaduna State Governor (Photos)

Months after his inability to visit murder sites in the troubled Southern Kaduna region of Kaduna state, Governor Mukhtar Yero finally surfaced in the ‘killing field’ yesterday, only to be greeted by angry women who protested, naked, against the governor's negligence and poor leadership.
An indigene of Sanga local government, residing in the United States, Barrister Sunday Ugah, who is presently in Nigeria, sent SaharaReporters New York office pictures and details of the governor’s visit to Fadan Karshi, where terrorists killed over 40 persons last week.
Ugah said all attempts by some prominent politicians to dampen the protest fell on deaf ears as the women said the governor was on a political campaign and not making condolence visits.
His e-mail read:
“It is absolute nonsense that, since March to date, about 1000 people have been killed in Southern Kaduna. [The governor] never came until today, in the name of last week killings, but we all know it is for political reasons. He came in company of hundreds of security personnel. We have no business with his politics, but we will speak in the ballot.
Over 200 were killed in March in Kaura local government, he refused to go there. The same thing happened in June here in Sanga, over 200 were killed. Our parents protested almost naked and we told him he is not a leader but a combination of deceit and lies. Next month we will take our case to Chatham House in London, where we will address the world of the genocide going on in our villages, and how representatives from the Senate down to state assembly have failed us completely.
We are not docile, we are documenting everything, the senator is only bothered about her re-election like the governor, the same for all the politicians. And the world will hear us, they are killing us like animals and none of them can raise a voice because of vested interests.”

Even Witches And Wizards Support GEJ

Inner Coven Society Worldwide, a non-political affiliate and association of witches, says there is no vacancy in Aso Rock, come 2015 presidential election.

According to the society, the election has already been concluded in the spiritual realm and won by President Goodluck Jonathan. President-General of the society, Dr. Omo Ebosele,  told SunNews:
“The Inner Coven Society World-wide, as the minds that have travelled into the unseen and the unknown, is using this opportunity to say that the 2015 presidential election in
Nigeria is a foregone issue. The election has been won and lost in the spirit realm. The candidate who by destiny has the overwhelming support of our society as well as other supernatural principalities in the high places is President Jonathan  and he has won the election.”
Ebosele added that it would be a wild goose chase for any opponent to rise against Jonathan in the election, stressing that the society, in collaboration with other principalities and forces, had since 2011, favoured the incumbent president.
His words:
“The Inner Coven Society worldwide is not a political organisation; neither are we affiliated to any political party or association. Our society is the general assembly of all the witches across the various continents of the earth; we are not evil in our operation; we supernaturally discern and support any course that is meant for the good of the people across the various countries of the world.
Divine hand is solidly upon President Jonathan, but as it has been from the time of creation; the evil forces who do not mean well, who are out to scuttle divine agenda are against him. But there is no cause for alarm because the battle has been fought and won already in the spirit.
Our proof is we were also the first to warn that the 2011 election was going to be bloody in some states, and that two sitting governors were going to die in office before the expiration of their tenure, if the necessary spiritual intervention is not sought. Of course no one need to be told the of the bloody violence that erupted in some Northern states during and after the election and remember two governors who were involved in air mishaps, one of the two governors did not survive the air accident. The other survived it because of our spiritual intervention,” he claimed.
Dr Ebosele expressed confidence that the war against Boko Haram insurgency will be won, marinating that darkness cannot triumph over light.
“The issue of Boko Haram will soon fade out from our daily reality as a country. Our society is not evil in operations neither are we fetish, but we have supernatural powers to control events for the good of humanity,” he said.

Bishop Oyedepo Defends Tuition Fees for Church Owned Schools

The founder of the Living Faith Church, Bishop David Oyedepo, has defended the tuition fees charged by schools owned by the church, describing the provision of quality education as an expensive venture.

Private schools in the country, including Covenant and Landmark universities, owned by the church are often criticized for being too expensive for average Nigerians to afford. But Oyedepo says Nigerians complain about the cost of education in private universities because they have got their priorities misplaced.

While addressing journalists on Friday in Ota, Ogun State, at a media chat organized in commemoration of his 60th birthday coming up on September 27, 2014,PUNCH reports that Oyedepo said:

“I’m sure we all agree that education is expensive. Education carries cost; nothing of
value is free. Our mission for years long, before we started any university or secondary school, was a bursary awarding church and we have not stopped doing that till tomorrow.

Our problem most of the time is priority; an average Nigerian can spend N1m on burial but to spend N200,000 on education (is a problem), because of wrong priority. On a yearly basis, we have N1.5trn that Nigerians spend to overseas universities, so people thrive on it. Nigerians spend N463bn a month on recharge cards, how much are they paying for schools fees? So it’s all a matter of priority. This is the largest market for telephone in the world. Now, to pay N500,000, some people have only one son, they have huge business and houses all over the places, they will never pay it.”

Speaking further, Oyedepo said he had chosen not to respond to the many controversial reports about him on the social media because he considered it as a waste of time.
He continued:

“My understanding of opposition, persecution is simply someone’s opinion harshly expressed. Everybody has a right to his opinion. Today, millions follow after Christ but you will be surprised that when you get to Israel some people do not believe that Christ has come.

People have rights to their opinions. I naturally don’t feel it’s necessary (to respond). The energy I would need to react, I can use it to make moves. I have enough to think about than start running after a man who says you are a fool. If he says you are a fool and you are behaving so, then he’s right. If you leave your job and start pursuing somebody who says you are a fool, he has already said so, your going around doesn’t change it. So why going around, why don’t you settle on your job and make moves?
I’ve also come to understand that those who make news hardly watch them, they are so busy making news while others are busy watching.”

Asked about the challenges he has faced in life and in his ministry, Oyedepo said he had never dwelled on his challenges but that he has rather been fuelled by them.
He said:

“Life essentially is full of challenges, it is those challenges that make champions. You can’t emerge a heavy weight boxing champion except you receive punches. You can’t change classes in school except you write exams. So to me, life is an adventure in challenges and I’ve said often that it is normal to be challenged but it’s unscriptural to be defeated. Challenges are the stepping stones for the making of champions.”

At age 27, in 1981, Oyedepo started his ministry in Ilorin, Kwara State and sited his first church two years later in Kaduna State. At the media chat, he said that the church now has branches in 63 countries in the world and that the Faith Tabernacle in Ota, where he pastors, hosts “over 200,000 worshippers every Sunday morning in four services.”
