I will not sell my players to United again – Wenger

I will not sell my players to United again – Wenger:
Arsene Wenger has stated that he no desire to sell any of his players to rivals Manchester United again. The Frenchman sanctioned a £24million deal for Robin van Persie, to move to Old Trafford last summer.

The Dutch striker scored twice in the fixtures against his former team, including the equaliser from the spot at the Emirates. When asked after the match, if Ferguson wanted more of his players, he replied:

“I don’t know but he will not sign them from us.”

The Arsenal manager also defended the fans’ behaviour towards their former captain, describing it as “more disappointed love” than aggression and insisted that they still respected him.

“He [Van Persie] is in our dressing room because the food is better in our dressing room,” he said. “I didn’t talk to him. I just saw that when I moved out of my office that he was with the players. We are rivals but look, at the end of the day, we decided to sell him. You want us to make a guard of honour and to respect the champions but you have to accept as well that respect exists after the game.

“You want to give absolutely everything for the 90 minutes and after the game you can still talk to each other. I think our defenders didn’t make life easy for him at all. We played with great commitment.”

Subomi Balogun`s FCMB In EFCC Net Over N75m Insurance Fraud

Subomi Balogun`s FCMB In EFCC Net Over N75m Insurance Fraud:
There's a very dirty insurance fraud presently rocking the Ladi Balogun-led First City Monument Bank-FCMB and this scam is so murky that, operatives at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission-EFCC are said to be brain storming every day to get to its root.

The dirty fraud is casting aspersion on the integrity of the Otunba Subomi Balogun owned First City Monument Bank-FCMB, a financial institution reputed to be the first ever indigenous merchant bank in Nigeria.

According to one of the anti-graft agency's officials who confided in National Enquirer, the fraud might earn the management of FCMB a negative connotation, if the agency eventually found it culpable of the sharp practices being alleged by one of its customers, Mr. Segun, the CEO of Eri-Ere Investments Limited.

Though the FCMB management we gathered is said to be making frantic efforts to save face as one of its representatives-Temitope Akintayo who heads the Adeola Hopewell branch of FCMB has offered everything humanly possible to the investigating officer at EFCC just to twist the case against the complainant, it is at this point that bubble is bursting amongst the anti-graft operatives.

As the story which is being handled by the CTGI department (Counter-Terrorism and General Investigations) of EFCC goes, the CEO of Eri-Ere Investments Limited, Mr. Segun who's the complainant in this matter, sometime ago was offered to insure his company and after assessment by the joint managements of FCMB and AIICO Insurance, Eri-Ere was given an annuity of N75m (an annual amount to be paid periodically).

We further gathered that, having agreed on this plan, the FCMB management when perfecting its papers and handling over to AIICO-their partner company to finalise the insurance policy for Eri-Ere Investments, the figure changed from N75m to N50m, and for God knows what later transpired, Eri-Ere's insurance was later doctored and drastically reduced to the tune of N10m going by the books of AIICO-that clause is still a mystery at the EFCC headquarters on Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos.

The innocent CEO of Eri-Ere Investments wouldn't have known what happened to its insurance but for an unfortunate armed robbery incident which affected one of its branches in Igando, Lagos last year, 2012. The robbery incident prompted Mr. Segun to demand for a possible replacement of some of its losses from AIICO since he's running a policy with the company and to his chagrin, he was informed that his aggregate limit is just N10m which only covers one of his branches.

The EFCC is still digging and your darling Enquirer is following with keen interest, we shall give you details of how one of FCMB lawyers allegedly forged a certain document from the Corporate Affairs Commission in order to save face and the clandestine movements of their representative, Temitope Akintayo to clear the mess.

In our facts finding mission, we got in touch with the head Corporate Communications of FCMB, Ike Kalu and this is what he said, “ it is true that something like that happened but it is one of our departments that`s handling it, however we would rather not want to issue an official statement because the matter is still being investigated by the EFCC. From my own point of view, I discovered the customer in question is one of our clients and am told that's what he normally does as he's heavily indebted to us and other banks, in fact, his account with us has been frozen as we speak, thanks”. Ike Kalu told us on a final told.

I've Got 99 Problems Now Jay-Z Is One! President Barrack Obama

Hilarious Videos: I've Got 99 Problems Now Jay-Z Is One! President Barrack Obama:
President Barrack is just hilarious!

The annual White House Correspondent’s Dinner is typically a light-hearted affair, and this year’s installment was no exception. The Dinner tends to serve as an opportunity for the President to show off his sense of humor and pop culture savvy, and with a President as charismatic as Barack Obama, these events tend to be ripe with entertaining moments.

While Obama obviously poked fun at himself and at those right wing media outlets who consistently have derided him throughout his two terms in office, he made sure to offer up enough hip-hop references to have the community talking for quite some time. Prior to the President stepping to the podium, the crowd in attendance was treated to DJ Khaled’s “All I Do Is Win.” Obama clearly enjoyed the moment, even synchronizing his hand gestures to match the chorus.

“How do you like my new entrance music?” Obama jokingly asked the audience, waiting for those assembled to sit back down before going right into the rest of the speech.

Later on, Obama had the chance to take a slick jab at Jay-Z, who caused a media frenzy with his visit to Cuba and subsequent “Open Letter.” Talking about issues that he has to deal with that are out of his control, Obama said, “It’s unbelievable… I have 99 problems and now Jay-Z is one of them.” Interestingly enough, the President does not appear to be as concerned about Beyonce, who also went on the trip with her husband and created her own controversy at the recent inauguration by apparently lip-synching the National Anthem.

MTO

Over and over, President Obama resounds why he is loved by many and was re-elected into the white house.

Way to go sir!

WHY I AM STILL SINGLE – EMPRESS NJAMAH
The actress recently spoke to The Nation’s Mercy Michael, where she told her the reason why she is still single and being a car freak with 5 cars.
Here is an excerpt from the interview:
As one who is brilliant, beautiful and curvy, why are you still single?

I’m gonna say this alright; I don’t care how people take it, the days when marriages were sweet and all beautiful are no more. If you listen to how your parents got married and how those days it was sweet, it’s not like that anymore. I’ve escorted a lot of people into marriages, I won’t say I’ve escorted them out but I’ve witnessed them come out of it.
So psychologically

it’s not good for people and then being what we are, a lot of people think because she’s this, because she has that I don’t think I will be able to handle them. A lot of people can’t stand an industrious woman especially if she’s doing well. It’s the mentality of the people. If a man looks at me, I’m a car freak alright. I have five cars and I’m not doing it because I’m trying to show off, a lot of people don’t even know that they are my cars.
But I’m trying to be honest with you and I’m always trying to say it the way it is, not minding whatever. If a man comes and says because of blablabla, he cannot handle me, then he shouldn’t bother. Every woman’s dream is to get married but it’s not just to get married but to get married to your friend. I want to marry my friend.
And have you met your friend?

I’m yet to meet my friend. If I meet my friend and I know that he is my friend, I don’t think that question should actually pop up because what am I doing if I’ve met my friend? If I’ve met my friend I will get married. And then, I’m this type of person that even if I meet my friend; I don’t want to have a fairy tale wedding.

Amaechi denies operating jet without permit

Amaechi denies operating jet without permit:

The Rivers State government said it has not been formally notified by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority on the grounding of Governor Chibuike Amaechi’s Bombardier jet indefinitely but denied operating the aircraft illegally.

The NCAA had announced the grounding of the jet at the Port Harcourt airport for operating illegally in a press briefing by Mrs Joyce Nkemakolam, its Acting Director General.

However, in her reaction on behalf of the State Government, the Rivers state Commissioner for information and communications, Mrs Ibim Semenitari told newsmen in Port Harcourt on Sunday government was awaiting formal communication from the regulatory agency.

‘’ As we speak, all I have is information that I have gleaned from the media. All we have as a government is that information. No formal communication has reached us in Rivers state government. We believe that it will be best that we await formal communication from the regulatory agency.

‘’ Just to say that all our documentation is in place. And to also say that as a responsible government, we have complied with the norms that regulate aviation business in Nigeria.n We have applied formally to the honourable minister of aviation for the import license. That application was received in her office in Sept. 2012.

‘’ So, we believe that all of the procedure, we have complied as best as we know. However, we do understand that the regulatory agencies are best equipped to tell us if they think there is any lapse and we will expect that the communication will come to us formally and not through the mass media. We believe that we are obligated to comply with all the regulations that govern the aviation business in Nigeria. We are a responsible government and we will not defy the regulatory agencies,’’the Information Commissioner said.

Mrs. Joyce Nkemakolam ,Acting Director General of NCAA,had announced the grounding of the aircraft indefinitely on Saturday alleging that the plane had been operating illegally.

According to Acting DG,NCAA,“The controversial aircraft on the service of Governor Rotimi Amaechi is operating illegally in the country” . The aircraft, a Bombardier BD-700, global express with registration N565 RS has its clearance approval expired since Tuesday, April 2nd, 2013.”

She claimed that “By our records, the last flight clearance for this aircraft was approved for operation on Thursday, March 28, 2013 on Accra-PH –Accra and to terminate on April 2, 2013. With this development, the aircraft has exceeded the extra two days or 48 hours leeway for it to leave the country.”

“While still operating illegally, the aircraft has been sighted in several places including Owerri and Akure.”
She further said “The owner of this aircraft according to the certificate of registration is Bank of Utah, trustee of Salt Lake City, Utah USA. The clearance for the aircraft was sought by Cavernton Helicopters on March 27, 2013.”

“Consequently, this aircraft in reference is hereby grounded at any airport that is located right now in the country” she noted.

However, observers are of the opinion that the grounding of the aircraft cannot be far from politics as Governor Amaechi has been at daggers-drawn with President Goodluck Jonathan.

Jonathan’s supporters have accused Amaechi of not supporting Jonathan’s ambition to run for second tenure in 2015.

Recently, the Peoples Democratic Party,State Executive loyal to Amaechi was sacked and replaced by an another group loyal to the Jonathan pointsmen.
